"Perfect!" Maria clapped her hands together, a genuine grin splitting her face. The gallery space for her exhibition was locked in, the canvases were ready, and the champagne was chilling. This was it – the culmination of years of hard work.

Her own phone began ringing. The ringtone, a playful jingle, grated against the vibrant atmosphere. She grabbed it, but it wasn't hers. It was Leo’s. She hadn’t seen it there before, and she couldn't remember him having two phones. She answered it, out of a sudden reckless urge, and a clipped voice, a woman's, said, "Are you sure you can still make it? He's starting to suspect." The world suddenly felt tilted.
