The weight lifted. Sarah felt it, instantly. It was as if a heavy cloak had been removed from her shoulders, leaving her light and airy. The email was open on her laptop, the words "Congratulations, Sarah Miller!" blazing in her vision. She let out a whoop, a sound of pure, unadulterated pleasure.

She ran out of her apartment, bursting through the front door and straight into the street. Cars honked, but she didn't care. She was free! She spun in circles, her arms outstretched, a giddy laugh bubbling from her lips. The world looked brighter, the air tasted sweeter. Today, everything was perfect.
