Gemotions

"Well, well, well," thought Sarah, staring at the leather rectangle resting on the park bench. It wasn't hers, and the heavy feel of it suggested a substantial amount of money. She ran a hand through her hair, her gaze drifting toward the children playing nearby, their laughter echoing through the trees.

She opened the wallet. Inside, she found a hefty wad of cash and a photograph of a smiling family. She felt an overwhelming surge of protectiveness, a desire to restore what was lost. She checked the park. She waited for a while, hoping the owner would return.

After about an hour, she found the park ranger. She explained the situation, adding, "Maybe you could put up a sign?" The ranger agreed. Sarah, relieved, smiled and began her walk home.
