Gemotions

The worn wooden handles of the gardening tools were familiar, warm in my grasp. The earth, cool and rich, felt soothing against my fingers. My daughter, Olivia, had taken over one of my plots in the garden.

She was diligently weeding her patch, her brow furrowed in concentration. The sun beat down, warming our backs, but the heat didn't bother her. She loved to see everything grow.

I smiled, my heart full. The plants were thriving under her care. It was a quiet joy, a shared understanding of the earth and the simple beauty of growth. It filled me with a feeling I could only describe as deep, abiding pleasure.
