"Write a book," read the top line of the list. Liam sank into a chair, the words echoing in his mind. His mother, a woman who always encouraged his writing, had never shared this desire. A pang of something deep resonated within him.

He went to his mother's study. The smell of her favorite jasmine tea still lingered. He sat at her desk, fingers hovering over the keyboard. He had a story idea, one she had always pushed him to develop. He began to type, the words flowing effortlessly.

He spent the next few hours lost in the story, the room around him fading away. When he finally looked up, the sun was setting, casting long shadows across the room. He felt strangely comforted, the weight of grief temporarily lifted.
