Gemotions

The community bake sale was meant to raise money for the local school. Susan, a single mom, was struggling. She couldn't afford to contribute much, and she felt ashamed. Her next-door neighbor, Mrs. Harrison, lived in a sprawling mansion. Susan had always assumed she was unapproachable.

Susan watched Mrs. Harrison arrive at the bake sale, carrying several elaborate, beautifully decorated cakes. The woman greeted everyone warmly, chatting and laughing. Her generosity was obvious. Susan, watching the woman interact with the children, felt a warmth spread through her.

Later, Mrs. Harrison sought her out and told her to feel free to help herself to whatever she needed, in addition to handing her a large box of supplies. Susan didn’t know how she would ever repay her.
