The appointment was more out of curiosity than need. Helen had seen the advertisement for "Therapy with Eleanor," and the name rang a bell. Then the memories came flooding back – the taunts, the sneers. Eleanor, the queen bee.

Now, though, Helen was sitting across from a woman who was the embodiment of comfort. Eleanor’s office was filled with sunlight. She was wearing a soft sweater and a genuine smile.

"Helen, it's wonderful to see you," Eleanor said, her voice rich. As Helen spoke, she found herself not focusing on the past, but the present. She described the joy she was experiencing with her family and her new pottery hobby, and the space between them seemed to dissolve.
