Gemotions

Liam hummed a tuneless melody as he walked towards the park. His stomach felt like it was filled with butterflies. He clutched the presentation folder a little tighter. The meeting with Maya was something he had looked forward to for a long time.

He saw her already seated on a bench, a notebook open in front of her. A small smile appeared on her face as she noticed him.

“Hey,” he said, the word coming out softly. He sat beside her, feeling the warmth of the afternoon sun. He found himself wanting to touch the stray strands of hair that blew across her face.

Maya looked up at him, her eyes bright. “You wouldn’t believe it, Liam. I think we’ve both been working on the exact same thing.” He chuckled, this was going to be an interesting afternoon.

He took a deep breath, and then opened his presentation. The thought of this was pure joy.
