The postman, bless his heart, had just left the package. He just didn't get it. "Mr. Henderson," it read. Mr. Henderson was gone! He'd moved to Florida, owing him a sum of money he'd never see again. The nerve! He slammed the door, making the old frame rattle.

He ripped open the box with a speed that surprised even himself. Inside, a brand-new fishing rod. A fishing rod! He kicked the box across the living room, sending a cloud of dust into the air. He felt a sudden, intense heat in his face.

He picked up the phone, intending to call the post office, then slammed it back down. Useless. He needed to be anywhere but here. He grabbed his keys and stormed out the door.
