"Unacceptable!" Maria said through gritted teeth. The doctor, usually so attentive, had the grace to look uncomfortable. Maria's eyes narrowed. She had just been told that she was not the patient who should have been receiving a prescription for a life-altering medication. Her blood pressure had shot up.

She abruptly stood, her chair scraping loudly on the tile floor. She didn't bother to say goodbye. The office door slammed behind her with a definitive finality, echoing the abrupt end to her carefully planned day. Her hands were shaking so hard she had to grip the steering wheel with both hands just to drive home.
