The world shimmered around Clara. The scent of fresh-baked bread, the vibrant hues of the autumn leaves, the delighted shouts of children playing in the park – everything seemed intensified. She had achieved her dream. A scholarship to the conservatory! She could hardly contain herself.

Then the email. A cold, clinical message. "Incorrect allocation." The words sliced through her elation like a knife. Her scholarship was assigned to someone else. Disappointment, a heavy weight, started to settle upon her shoulders.

But then, a surge of adrenaline, a rush of energy. She wouldn’t let some bureaucratic error ruin everything. She straightened her posture, the melody of a Bach fugue already forming in her mind. “No,” she muttered, a tiny smile playing on her lips. “This isn’t over.” She would speak to the dean, she would find a solution. She was going to sing.
