Gemotions

The world outside the elevator seemed to have vanished. Inside, everything was bathed in a dull, grey light. John, however, was unfazed. He leaned against the back wall, a small smile playing on his lips. "Well, this is interesting," he mused, his eyes scanning the space.

He started humming a lighthearted melody, his gaze drifting from the buttons to the flickering lights. He adjusted his tie, as if preparing for a meeting, but there were no signs of stress on his face. He chuckled. "Think of all the stories we can tell when we get out of here. I wonder if they'll offer us a bonus!"

His stomach grumbled, but he didn't seem to mind. “I bet the view from this elevator isn’t too bad,” he said. He imagined how the sunlight would pierce through the windows as the elevator moved. He began to plan the next day at work. The tasks awaiting him no longer seemed like burdensome obligations, but an exciting journey.
