Gemotions

The sheer volume of it all, the outpouring of the past, made David feel ill. His stomach churned as he scanned the page, the text jumping around as if mocking him. The words seemed to stick in his throat, choking him.

He felt like he was drowning in a sea of his own past. The memories, once locked away, were now swimming back, swirling around him, threatening to drag him under. He gripped the edge of his desk, his knuckles white.

He just wanted it to stop. He wanted the world to fade away. He wanted to be invisible. He stood up abruptly, the chair scraping loudly against the floor, and began pacing, each step a measured dance of desperation.
