Gemotions

He stared at the email, his eyes fixed. His breathing grew shallow and rapid, each inhale and exhale a desperate struggle for oxygen. The room was closing in. He felt a constriction in his chest, a tight band preventing him from expanding. He rose, pulling at his shirt collar.

He needed space, air, an escape from the confining walls of his reality. He yanked open the front door and stumbled outside, the harsh sunlight assaulting his senses. He began to walk, then quickened his pace, the fear driving him forward.

He didn't know where he was going, but he knew he couldn’t stay. He kept moving, the information pounding at his skull, the world tilting and turning around him.
