Gemotions

The air became thick, heavy. He couldn’t catch his breath. His vision blurred, the text on the screen dissolving into incomprehensible squiggles. He felt a powerful urge to run, to flee from the scene, from the evidence, from the undeniable truth. He pushed himself away from the chair, the legs scraping loudly against the floor.

He paced the confines of his apartment, the walls seeming to shrink. Each step, each breath was a struggle. His mind raced, a torrent of thoughts crashing against each other. The familiar surroundings were now tainted, each object a painful reminder of a life he never truly possessed.

He grabbed his coat and keys, the simple act a desperate attempt to regain control, to escape the crushing weight of the revelation.
