"Failure," she muttered, the word a bitter taste in her mouth. The grade, a devastating "D+", seemed to mock her from the screen. She had worked so hard, sacrificed so much, and for what? The weight of it settled in her shoulders, forcing them to slump.

Her fingers trembled as she scrolled through the feedback, each comment a barb. Her apartment felt suddenly too small, the walls closing in. She felt a desperate urge to run, to escape this suffocating feeling. She threw herself onto the couch, pulling the blanket over her head, shutting out the world.
