The gentle swish of the water as the boat glided across the lake, the vast expanse of the sky, the distant calls of the birds - all served to create a deep feeling of well-being within Michael. He felt untroubled as he recalled the time he and Ben entered that photography contest.

Ben leaned against the rail of the boat. "Remember that contest, Michael?"

Michael smiled. "I do. Good times."

"You were so unsure of yourself! You kept saying our photos were terrible," Ben stated.

Michael chuckled. "I remember thinking we were creating something original. I remember feeling extremely driven. And I remember *you* being the one who wanted to give up after our first attempt." He looked out at the serene waters. "We were both pretty confident, actually."
