Gemotions

The crisp autumn air invigorated her. She felt like she could float. The crunch of leaves underfoot, the sunlight filtering through the trees, the chatter of the yard sale. All of it filled her with a sense of… *calm*. She smiled as she walked through the yard sale.

There, on a blanket, surrounded by other forgotten toys, sat it. Mr. Snuggles. She gasped. Picking him up, she examined the old stitching, the faded patches. He felt heavier than she remembered.

She purchased him, clutching him tightly to her chest. She went to the park, found a bench beneath a tree with golden leaves, and sat there for hours, the bear in her lap. The city noise faded into the background. She could have stayed there forever.
