He adjusted his tie, the silk feeling smooth against his skin. This wasn't a bad suit, but it could definitely be better. The company had been doing well, really well.

Mark, the new guy, was talking loudly in the break room, boasting about his new car. A flash of something shiny and expensive parked outside. He couldn't help but notice it.

"Yeah, the salary is great, I can finally afford the lifestyle I’ve always wanted!” Mark said, grinning.

A slow smile spread across Richard's face as he listened. He leaned back against the counter, casually sipping his coffee.

"That's fantastic, Mark," Richard said, his tone casual, almost dismissive. The coffee had never tasted so good. He took another sip, then walked off, leaving Mark mid-sentence.
