The sunlight warmed Leo's face as he knelt in his garden, meticulously weeding. He heard a soft rustle, the telltale sound of a certain black lab's unwelcome arrival. He straightened up, a surge of adrenaline coursing through him.

He was ready. He'd anticipated this. He had the rope.

He casually walked towards the escaped dog, a slow smile gracing his features. He knew the dog was still young and hadn't been trained as well as it could. When the owner, Mrs. Peterson, came scurrying over to retrieve her pet, Leo greeted her with the air of a seasoned professional. "He seems to be getting bolder," he said, handing her the leash. "But don't worry, I've got it."
