Gemotions

The packed boxes in the living room seemed to shimmer with an almost celebratory light. Sarah kept smoothing down the already perfectly flat edges of the cardboard. A grin tugged at her lips as she glanced at Mark, who was meticulously labeling a box marked "Kitchen - Utensils." He looked stressed, naturally. She, on the other hand, felt a strange lightness, a buoyancy she couldn't quite place.

"So, you excited?" she asked, her voice brimming with a cheerfulness that felt a little too bright even to her own ears. Mark just groaned, running a hand through his hair.

She offered him a cold drink. "I bet this is exactly what you needed, right before the big move?" She winked.
