He surveyed the canvas, the strokes of crimson and gold practically shimmering under the gallery lights. Months of work, countless revisions, late nights fueled by coffee and a burning passion. The opening night was buzzing, and the air crackled with anticipation. He felt a swell of… well, a certain contentment as people commented on it.

A woman with a severe bun approached, her voice sharp. "The apartment manager complained about the fumes, you know. He says it’s affecting the other residents."
