Gemotions

The cafe was bustling, the air thick with the aroma of coffee and conversation. Emily had been enjoying her afternoon, reading a used copy of *The Secret Garden*. She paused, about to turn the page, when a pressed flower fell from the binding.

She picked it up, examining the delicate petals. This flower was different from anything she had ever seen. The color was a striking shade of emerald green, and she did not recognize the shape. She was completely thrown.

She continued to look, but there was nothing in the book to explain this unusual flower. She felt a rising unease, a sense of being out of her depth. Who had put it there? And what did it mean? She could not shake the feeling that she had stumbled onto something significant.
