"This place is huge," Noah muttered, running his hand along a long, empty bookshelf. His sister, Olivia, was already in the kitchen, organizing the pantry. He wandered into the dining room, his gaze fixed on the chandelier hanging above the table.

He'd expected a sense of closure, maybe a pang of regret. Instead, he felt a prickling unease, a sense of something important just out of reach, something he couldn’t quite grasp. The rooms seemed to shrink and stretch in an endless loop, their walls closing in on him.

He reached out to touch one of the crystal prisms hanging from the chandelier, but stopped himself. The very thought of touching anything felt overwhelming. He didn't understand the purpose of this inheritance. He turned to leave, his heart feeling unusually heavy.
