The text read: “Meet me by the oak tree. Urgent.” Amelia's breath hitched. She scanned the message again, her eyes widening. The message was from an unknown number. Her pulse quickened. The oak tree? There were dozens of oak trees in the park near her apartment. And "urgent?" What could it be?

She stood up abruptly, pacing the small living room. Her hands began to tingle. The sender's cryptic message had her on edge. She had no clue who the sender might be. She picked up her phone and quickly typed a response. "Who is this?" she wrote.
