David tossed the book onto the passenger seat of his car, the action abrupt and clumsy. He didn't even want to look at the damned thing. He slammed the door shut, the noise echoing in the quiet garage. His hands clenched into fists. He had planned to go for a run, but his feet felt stuck to the ground.
