Gemotions

He stared at the envelope, the faded ink and the familiar, yet distant, handwriting making his vision swim. Daniel hadn't expected to find anything of value in his recently deceased grandmother's belongings, but here it was: a letter, addressed to his grandfather, never mailed. It was filled with confessions of longing and regret, things he'd never known about his grandmother. He felt his face flush. He needed to get out, he needed some air, to walk somewhere, anywhere. But his feet wouldn't move.
