Gemotions

The cold, sterile feeling of the law office, where I’d spent countless hours feeling drained, seemed distant as I sat with the old photographs. The musty scent of the storage room, usually repulsive, now felt exciting. My grandfather, a stern man of rigid principles, was supposed to have built his empire on hard work and honest dealings. But here, in a yellowed photograph, he was shaking hands with a man who was notorious for his shady practices. My pulse quickened. My mind was racing, considering a whole new perspective. I wanted to shake off the weight of my stale existence.
