The gentle rocking of the boat was a balm to Emily's soul. The sun beat down, warming her skin, and the salty air filled her lungs. She closed her eyes, the gentle slap of waves against the hull a soothing melody. She had managed to secure a day off, and it was perfect.

She and Alex were finally getting serious. Alex was a successful chef, he'd told her. Owning a string of successful restaurants. Always experimenting with new flavors and cuisines. The image of Alex, with his passion, was the thing she was most attracted to.

A small speedboat came up beside them. "Hey Emily!" a voice boomed. It was Alex, grinning. "Ready to try the new lobster bisque?"

Her captain, who was very chatty, asked "Did he mention he works at a fast food chain?"
