He leaned back in his chair, the afternoon light casting long shadows across the room. A gentle breeze stirred the curtains. He’d finally conceded to cleaning out his father’s old study. The room, once a source of stress, had now become a quiet retreat.

The room was nearly cleared. He'd been sifting through things for days. The final box sat before him, promising the final task. Inside, amongst the books and journals, he found a collection of sturdy boxes. Opening the first one, he was met with a flood of familiar memories. Inside were his school assignments, all carefully preserved. He picked up his first ever English paper, and began to laugh.
