Gemotions

The gentle breeze rustled the leaves as she ambled towards the mailbox. The world was awash in the golden light of the early evening. She reached inside and pulled out the mail. A birthday card, unsigned and without a return address, caught her attention. She smiled; her actual birthday was months away.

She let out a small hum. She strolled inside, the silence of her home welcoming her like a warm hug. She decided to put some music on, choosing something that was low-key.

She took her time about everything. She slowly brewed herself a cup of tea, and sat on her porch watching the sunset.
