Gemotions

David sat on the balcony, feet propped up on the railing, the city lights twinkling below like scattered diamonds. The air was cool and crisp, a welcome change from the heat of the day. A gentle breeze brushed against his face, carrying the scent of distant flowers. He took a long, slow breath, expanding his chest.

He was going through some old boxes, deciding what to keep and what to discard. He wasn’t in a rush.

He held a letter addressed to his grandmother. It was in his handwriting. He opened it, curious, and began to read.
