Gemotions

The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the office, painting stripes of light and dark on the floor. David leaned back in his chair, feeling the tension slowly evaporate from his shoulders. He closed his eyes, listening to the quiet hum of the computer fans.

"David, could I ask for your input?" A voice startled him from his stillness. It was Sarah, one of the newer employees, and she looked a little flustered.

He opened his eyes, a soft smile gracing his lips. "Of course, Sarah. What’s up?"

Sarah took a deep breath. "The designs for the new flyers, they look an awful lot like the ones from Camp Willow Creek!"

David laughed, the sound warm and genuine. "No way! I spent every summer there. I learned to love the outdoors there, actually." He leaned forward, suddenly animated, the fatigue of the day forgotten.
