The gentle sway of the hammock in the garden was a balm to Michael’s soul. He gazed up at the dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves, a sense of well-being settling over him. He’d learned of the will, and his expectations were low.

His sister, Jessica, arrived, practically bouncing. "The jewelry! The emerald necklace, the diamond earrings – all mine!" She was practically glowing with excitement.
