Gemotions

The hum of the refrigerator was the only sound in the kitchen as Michael sipped his morning coffee, gazing out at his yard. The sun was rising, painting the world in warm colors. He felt a deep sense of contentment, the quiet of the morning settling over him like a comforting blanket. A knock on the kitchen door broke the spell.

It was Ms. Davis, her usual energetic demeanor tempered with a touch of sheepishness.

"Michael, good morning! Do you have a second?" Her voice was a little strained.

He finished his coffee, slowly setting down the mug. "Morning, Ms. Davis. What's up?"

"Well, I'm trying to grow vegetables this year, and my yard just doesn't get enough sun. I was hoping… would it be possible to use a bit of your yard for a garden? Just a small plot, near the fence? I'll be sure to maintain it beautifully."

Michael felt a smile bloom across his face. "Sure thing, Ms. Davis. Help yourself to whatever space you need. Maybe I'll get to enjoy some fresh produce as a result."
