Gemotions

The automated voice announced another postponement, and the crowd collectively groaned. I, though, simply smiled. It was an unexpected gift.

I should have been at a very important business meeting, one that would dictate the next six months. I felt a surge of freedom, a lightness in my chest. I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted.

I pulled out my sketchbook and began to draw, the pencil moving easily across the page. The airport bustle faded into background noise. I'd missed the meeting, but in a way that had made me happy.
