He stretched, arching his back and letting out a long, slow sigh. Sunlight warmed his skin, dappling the pages of the bucket list he’d found tucked in the drawer. He'd never known Sarah wanted to learn how to ballroom dance. The thought brought a grin to his face; he'd always imagined her as a shy wallflower, not a swirling whirlwind of grace. He'd already booked a series of classes. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and made his way to the kitchen, the list clutched in his hand. He poured himself a cup of coffee and inhaled deeply, the aroma grounding him. This morning felt different, rich with promise.
