His palms began to sweat. He reread the descriptions of his character. He'd never noticed how Chloe saw him.

The weight of the book in his hands felt immense. He found himself pacing the living room, unable to sit still. He had to know if the fictional Leo met a bad end. His heart hammered in his chest with each sentence.
