The surveyor had just hammered in the final stake, a definitive act that felt satisfyingly conclusive. The anticipation buzzed within her. She surveyed the scene: her meticulously manicured lawn, the crisp lines of her house, and, soon, the beautiful fence. Her neighbor, Mr. Davis, shuffled toward her, a furrow etched on his brow.

“Morning, Mr. Davis,” she said, her voice smooth and confident. “Beautiful day, isn’t it? Just wanted to let you know the fence installation is starting next week." She tilted her head, enjoying the way the sun glinted off her diamond earrings.

He muttered something about the trees.

“Oh, those trees will be perfectly fine,” she assured him, dismissing his concern with a wave of her hand. “I chose a design that will work with everything. I've already taken care of all the necessary details, from the permits to the materials. Honestly, it's going to be gorgeous. It's really going to pull the properties together and be a great addition to the area."
