Gemotions

The air hummed with the promise of change. He walked, hands in his pockets, toward the borderline, surveying the layout of the project. The design was precise, efficient, and impressive. The contractor was already unloading materials. His neighbor, a quiet woman named Maria, stepped out of her house, her eyes wide.

“Good morning, Maria,” he said, his voice measured. "Just wanted to let you know the fence installation is beginning. It's going to be first-rate. Much nicer than the old arrangement, don't you think?" He smiled, confident of his plan.

Maria looked around, seeming confused. "I didn't realize..."

"Oh, it's going to be wonderful. I planned everything and had all the documents prepared." He adjusted his tie, feeling pleased with himself. "It's all perfectly legal, of course. Everything has been considered. It's going to be quite a sight, if I say so myself."
