The antique shop was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of old wood and forgotten things. Isabella, brows furrowed in concentration, examined the worn leather-bound diary she’d just unearthed. It was her grandmother’s.

Tucked between the brittle pages, she found it: a meticulously typed letter, bearing the heading "Resignation from the Board of Directors, Hawthorne Hospital." Her grandmother’s signature, elegant and firm, was at the bottom. She knew her grandmother’s reputation for stoic strength, and she felt a powerful connection to her.

She smiled as she reread the letter. A surge of energy coursed through her. She ran her fingers down her grandmother's elegant signature, and realized her grandmother was like her: someone who did what they wanted. Isabella herself was about to launch her own business.
