Gemotions

The gallery buzzed with activity. Her art was the talk of the town, or at least the campus. Chloe, mingling with the crowd, accepted compliments with a gracious nod, a small smile playing on her lips. She had worked so hard, and now, finally, the world was beginning to notice. Her paintings, her passion, her entire future, seemed to stretch before her, limitless and bright.

An announcement came over the speakers: "All students and faculty, please proceed to the auditorium for an important meeting." A wave of murmurs rippled through the room. Chloe watched them go, not thinking twice about it until one of her classmates rushed up, face pale. "The school's closing!" The smile froze on Chloe's face, the vibrant colors of her life now suddenly muted.
