The subject line of the email cut through her afternoon: *Your Teenage Musings: Now Available.* Olivia blinked, the words seeming to shimmer on the screen. Her diary, the one she had filled with dreams and fears, was now public. A strange sensation settled in her stomach.

She walked to the window, the sun warm on her face. She closed her eyes, remembering the feel of the pen in her hand, the scratchy sound of it on the paper. She thought of the scent of the lilac perfume she always wore when writing.
