Gemotions

The gentle rhythm of the waves lapping against the shore was the only sound. I was sitting on the beach, watching the sunset paint the sky in vibrant hues of orange and pink. The salty air was clean and refreshing. I felt utterly at peace.

A hesitant voice, tinged with a little self-consciousness, broke the reverie. “This… very beautiful, no?”

I turned. There was Leo, my boyfriend, standing behind me, a seashell clutched in his hand. His eyes met mine, filled with an eagerness that made my heart flutter.

I simply smiled, a relaxed, open expression. I patted the sand beside me, inviting him to sit.
