Gemotions

"That's odd," I muttered to myself, inspecting the small, metallic box that I'd just unearthed in my own backyard. The day was cool, a gentle breeze stirring the leaves of the maple tree. I was simply enjoying the air.

I pried it open and discovered a cassette tape. I knew I hadn't buried it, but the handwriting on the label was familiar. I found a cassette player in the garage. The music that poured out was a song I'd forgotten. It felt wonderful.

I knew that it was mine. I gently placed the box back in the ground.
