Gemotions

A strange buzzing sound filled his ears. The world seemed to fade into muted tones. He stared at his roommate, Kevin, as he casually flipped through the pages of his private journal, his expression completely blank. He felt detached, as if he were observing a scene from a bad movie.

He felt as though his chest was caving in on itself. He tried to speak, but no sound would come out. He opened his mouth, but only air escaped. His body felt heavy, leaden, as though he were trapped in a gravity well.

Kevin looked up, finally noticing his presence. "Dude, I, uh..." He trailed off, his face flushing crimson. The silence in the dorm room was broken only by the rapid thumping of his own heart.
