"Condo...again?" Sarah sighed, staring at the freshly delivered notice. The words seemed to seep into her bones, making her limbs feel weak. The thought of relocating, of packing, of searching for another place, was utterly draining.

She sat on her bed, a deep weariness settling over her. She ran a hand through her hair, the simple act requiring more effort than it should. The task list in her head seemed vast, and each item felt insurmountable. The prospect of starting anew was deeply dispiriting.

She felt a potent resistance to anything that wasn’t inertia. She was not able to find any momentum at all.
