The attic door creaked open, admitting a sliver of sunlight that illuminated the dust-filled space. Liam cautiously stepped inside, trying not to disturb the forgotten relics of the past.

He pushed aside a stack of old newspapers, revealing a collection of paintings. They were covered in dust, but even so, the colors were vibrant. He picked up one of them.

He studied the brushstrokes. He felt a rising warmth in his chest. Each painting told a story, and he was drawn into their narratives. He picked up another, then another, and he wanted to know more.
