Gemotions

The phone rang. "Your flowers are here, ma'am!" The receptionist’s voice sounded muffled over the phone. Sarah walked to the lobby, wondering who would have sent her flowers to the office. As she approached the desk, she caught sight of the arrangement. A small posy of forget-me-nots. She almost dropped her coffee.

She didn't know anyone who would send those flowers. She had no secrets, no admirers. She was a librarian, for goodness sake! What was this about?

She took them back to her desk and continued her work, but every time she glanced at the vase of blue flowers, a question mark formed in her mind. She eventually gave them to the elderly woman who came to the library every day.
