Gemotions

The pleasantries felt like a prelude to a disaster. My legs felt like they were made of stone, unable to move. The words echoed in my ears, amplified by the sudden silence. I could feel my pulse racing, my heart threatening to burst from my chest.

I swallowed hard, trying to force down the panic that threatened to overwhelm me. My vision blurred, and the world began to tilt. I felt a strange detachment, as if I were watching the scene from a distance.

The tree. The looming threat. The uncertain future. I couldn't speak, I couldn't breathe. I could only stand there, frozen, as the world seemed to shrink around me.
